CHAPTER 44 - Chapter 44
The mature tone combined with the substantial sensuality of the pomelo, two different ‘moves’ laid out in front… how could one resist?
“Where are we going to buy?” Su Yuchen asked softly.
Kristia smiled warmly, “That’s a good boy~”
The weighty pomelo left her arm, reverting to its original shape. Kristia tucked her hair behind her ear, “Tomorrow at half-past eight in the morning, let’s meet at the east gate of the Lilac Plaza.”
“Oh, okay.” Su Yuchen nodded in agreement, “Senior Tia, I won’t be late.”
“I won’t be late neither~” Kristia blinked, “It’s my first date with a boy, you know?”
“I-It’s also my first…” Su Yuchen responded nervously yet excitedly.
“What a coincidence~” Kristia looked at him in surprise, “Junior Yuchen, we’re truly fated.”
“Ah, I-I-I…”
“Speaking to a girl through the screen makes you blush too. Sister is curious to see if in a voice chat, Junior Yuchen will still stutter?”
“No, no voice chat!” Su Yuchen hurriedly replied, then quickly lowered his head, looking ‘regretful.’
Kristia laughed uncontrollably, “Junior brother, you’re so adorable! I was just teasing you.”
Su Yuchen dared not lift his head further; Kristia stopped teasing, afraid he might get too excited to sleep and oversleep the next day.
“Okay, Junior Yuchen, get some rest soon. You have to wake up early tomorrow.” Kristia said apologetically, “Sorry, disturbing your sleep on the only day off.”
“N-No problem.” Su Yuchen quickly added, “I’m not used to sleeping in anyway.”
“That’s good.” Kristia sighed in relief, patting her chest, “By the way, Junior brother, your stuttering frequency has decreased a lot when talking to me. Fantastic!”
“Really, it has?” Su Yuchen was surprised.
“See, those words were smooth, excellent.” Kristia didn’t skimp on her praise. She believed that praising these small details was the easiest way to win someone over.
Su Yuchen awkwardly scratched his head, “It’s all thanks to Senior Tia.”
“Yeah, so Junior Yuchen, be grateful,” Kristia chuckled softly, “I’ve trained you, right? Don’t run away to other girls later.”
“I won’t!”
“Hmph, good then.” Kristia checked the time, “Alright, won’t keep you. I need to sleep too.”
“Okay, Senior Tia, goodnight.”
“Goodnight~ Don’t stay up too late.”
After ending the video call, Su Yuchen let out a long sigh. Acting constantly focused was indeed tiring, but Senior Tia seemed to be getting a bit serious.
Su Yuchen looked at the screenshots. The big, yellow pomelo looked appealing. He decided to buy one and eat it when he returned tomorrow.
After tapping on the screen, Su Yuchen observed the screenshot of Kristia leaning back in her chair, her shirt stretched tightly… but she was wearing a bra. He didn’t infer it from dots or patterns but saw the strap marks on her shoulders.
Maybe the downside of dark-colored shirts was that they weren’t transparent.
Deleting the saved screenshots one by one, Su Yuchen tossed his phone aside and leaned back on the couch.
“In the case of video chatting, ‘misfortune’ wasn’t triggered either. It seems that physical contact isn’t a significant factor; it’s mainly about the inner attitude.”
“So, is this the power of ‘love’? Hmm…”
Never in a million years did he expect that the solution to his ‘misfortune’ would be like this… love. It’s not easy, not hard either, but even Xia Yushuang could help unlock his ‘misfortune.’
“Does it mean I have to play both sides?” Muttering to himself, Su Yuchen sat upright. Dating one person was already challenging; dealing with two would be a direct entry into hell mode.
He looked at his hands. Although he had gotten used to various ‘misfortunes’ over the years, if given the chance, who would willingly live in constant anxiety every day?
So, this chance to resolve the ‘misfortune’ must be seized. Even if it’s difficult, he must stick to this path.
“Big Brother, I like…”
Su Yuchen quickly pressed the answer button, interrupting the exclusive video ringtone. He flicked his fingers, slightly hurting his pinky as it grazed the sofa.
Picking up the phone and looking at Su Yuxi, he was somewhat surprised: “Still at home?”
“Of course~” Su Yuxi, wearing white pajamas, lay on the bed, the curve of a small peach faintly visible as she rested her chest on the pillow.
“Brother, you just finished showering?” Su Yuxi, with unwavering eyes, looked at the ‘handsome man after bath’: “We’re so in sync; the timing for the video call was perfect~”
‘It’s not good at all, it would have been better during a bath.’
Of course, Su Yuxi also knew that this was an impossible luxury; her brother, who was accompanied by ‘misfortune,’ never bathed in a tub… what if he drowned?
“Yeah, just finished.” Su Yuchen picked up the towel to dry his hair again, and Su Yuxi stared without blinking. Her fingers swiftly pressed the volume and power keys, taking screenshots.
“Are you going tomorrow morning?” Su Yuchen asked while drying his hair.
“Yeah, with the speed of planes now, it won’t take more than three hours to reach the Imperial City.” Su Yuxi wiggled her feet, “If I go today, I’ll have to meet many people. I want to rest. Brother, you won’t blame me, will you?”
‘The reason I’m not going today is that if I get busy at night, I won’t be able to video chat with my brother.’
“No, of course not.” Su Yuchen smiled at her, “The main event is the Mid-Autumn Festival dinner; as long as you don’t miss that, it’s fine.”
“Mm-hmm.” Su Yuxi looked at his messy hair, swallowed, then spoke, “Even if certain people want to blow up my private jet, they won’t succeed.”
“Be careful.” Su Yuchen said softly, “I don’t want anything to happen to you, Yuxi.”
“Huh? What did you say, brother?” Su Yuxi straightened up and asked, “There was a network lag.”
Su Yuchen didn’t think much and repeated, “I don’t want anything to happen to you, Yuxi.”
“Mm-hmm!”
Su Yuxi’s face lit up with a happy smile. There was no network lag; the recording had started the moment the video call connected… her brother’s beautiful and melodious phrases were worth recording again!
With a renewed smile, Su Yuxi lay back down, looking happy. “Brother, will you rest tomorrow too? Will you stay at home?”
“No, I’m going to a party.”
“What??!!”
Su Yuxi’s voice suddenly raised several decibels.
“Brother, you’re not allowed to attend those decadent parties!”
